Our mission: The Pigtown Community Farmers Market provides individuals and families living in our neighborhood with local, high-quality, healthy foods.  The Market generates business for the Main Street corridor, improves the neighborhood by making it more friendly, beautiful, and walkable, and fosters an environment where neighbors can interact with one another.

The Pigtown Community Farmers Market operates weekly from June to October from 3 pm to 7 pm. Our market vendors accept cash and credit cards, as well as WIC-FMNP, Senior-FMNP WIC-FVC, and EBT/SNAP. We support local farmers, local businesses, and all residents of Pigtown and Southwest Baltimore. Through educational activities, we empower families, seniors, and children to shop for, cook, and eat local, seasonal produce that is healthy and affordable!

Throughout the season, we host events such as concerts, yoga classes, Zumba classes, and festivals, including our Apple Picking and Jazz Day and our Back-to-School Day. In addition to face-painting and sidewalk chalk, kids can engage with the Chesapeake Youth Engagement Center's Mobile Fun Wagon, where staff provides games such as basketball, soccer, football, and other outside activities. We host a weekly Cooking Demonstration table run by two dedicated volunteers, that features a healthy, easy-to-make dish using seasonal produce. We are a welcoming space for community members of all ages - come check us out next season!
